Partner of NV Equipment
In November 2022 we became partners of the french company NV Equipment, one of the largest companies and pioneers in covers, sprayhoods and canopies in Europe.
NV Equipment's history dates back to 1977, when Jean-Yves and Josette Chevalier decided to turn their passion for sailing into a business.
Since then, the company has grown enormously and developed a wide range of products over the last 40 years. We are pleased to introduce the excellent products of NV Equipment to our customers. Here you will find canopies and covers not only for french sailing yachts and motorboats, but also for our German brands, Hanse and Dehler.
If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will advise you on your boat’s sprayhood or cover (type of fabric, frame design) and together we will select the best type for your sailing yacht, motor boat, catamaran or similar. Our service also includes a canopy installation service (on vessels in our vicinity or on our "South Tour" route), repair and cleaning.
Sprayhoods, Cockpit Tents, Biminis
We manufacture customised sprayhoods, cockpit tents, motor yacht and bimini sun canopies. We use quality fabric from SUNBRELLA, MASACRIL, MEHLER NAUTICA and WEATHERMAX. We don't make off-the-peg canopies - we produce an individual sample for every order. We supply our folding frames preferably in 22mm|25mm V4A stainless steel tube with V4A stainless steel fittings. We have pretty much every knob and fastening system in stock.

For years, we have travelled further afield to install the canopies and have been able to win many a satisfied customer in the process. Nevertheless, we also have to admit that assembly far from the workshop has its pitfalls.
Consequently, we now limit the radius for canopy-making and canvas work to within one hour's drive around Greifswald, covering an area from Rostock to Ueckermünde. Anyone who would still like to have Tuchwerkstatt canvas on their boat is invited to sail or motor here and moor the boat for, say, 14 days or so in one of the many berths in Greifswald (at Yachtservice Wilke, Holzteich-Marina, Museumswerft Greifswald etc). Many customers do this and combine the new sprayhood with the start of their boating holiday or a round trip through the Bodden waters. Welcome!

Tarpaulins, Sail Covers, Lazy Jacks, Headsail Covers
In our workshop you can get the whole range of covers to protect your sails and equipment from sun and weather. We manufacture boom covers, headsail covers, lazybag systems (maindrops) - complete with battens and lazy lines, covers for skylights and hatches, steering wheel covers and much more. All covers are made to measure and in the colour of your choice (approximately 20 colours in stock).
We use only high-quality materials such as Masacril acrylic tarpaulin cloth, YKK zips, premium button systems such as TENAX, LOXX, MINAX ... and extremely UV-resistant yarns from AMMAN.

Sailcloth Bags and Rigging Bags
We make individual bags for every taste. Each one is unique. You can choose from various new sail and tarpaulin fabrics. Or you send us a piece of your own old sail and we make your original boat’s bag from it. We also make traditional rigging bags, with fine hand-craft. Ship’s Tarpaulins for Summer and Winter
We manufacture sturdy and UV-resistant marine tarpaulins for use at your mooring or in winter storage. Our boat tarpaulins are made of strong PVC, acrylic & polyester fabrics in traditional sail-making craftsmanship. All materials used by us are weather resistant and unfading true to colour.

Boat Upholstery
We will custom make the interior and exterior upholstery of your vessel. We use various types of artificial leather and upholstery fabrics. You can choose from various foam qualities and fastening techniques. We also cover existing upholstery cores and car seats ... and look forward to your enquiry.
Sun Protection and Weather Awnings
We make high-quality and UV-resistant awnings and shading systems of all kinds. Whether it's a small balcony awning or a terrace shade installed year-round for your bar or restaurant - we will find the best solution for you. Our sun and weather awnings are made of high-strength acrylic and polyester fabrics in proven sail-making craftsmanship. All materials used are weatherproof and colourfast.
